This guide takes an in-depth look at each faction and the buffs they give, so you can decide what will complement your playstyle best. I feel a need for speedThe one thing to pay attention to is the buff your faction gives. Empire to sub in for any of them I typically use their archers for garrisons and early game, and their cataphracts and horse archers are good, as are their front line legions. Battanians for their skirmishers and Fian archers. I like the Sturgians for their front line troops shock and veteran's. Their soldiers aren't the best in any one field, but they're fairly balanced, and don't need their noble troops in order to fill a given role. Otherwise, I've been having fun with the Aserai. If you want troops that are simply different, I'd try defeating, capturing, and then recruiting some of the minor faction parties to add their troops to your roster. Reminds me of a quote about the Mongols, they could achieve victory, but couldn't hold them. Also their 2h infantry is cool but armor is quite useless against arrows, so they are just easy kills for the enemy. I think if I would be able to recruit a heavy Camelary army I would be more hyped for them. Sturgia and Battania seem like they could be fun. I had hope to like Vlandia more but their armor and weapons are rather boring. I like the armors and weapons of the Khuzait. Khuzait after the Empire my second most favorite Troops. I dabbled a little with Khergites, not overly fond of all horse armies, to many memories of butchering them wholesale in Warband.Īlthough horse archers seem rather brutal this time around. However, for my next game I am thinking of branching out. I admit, so far I have only played with the southern empire. Load more.Home Discussions Workshop Market Broadcasts.
